We are constantly evaluating the impact of our programmes in order to make them as effective as possible. Each year we collect feedback from our Reading Mentors and Reading Leaders and compile these results annually into our Impact Report. The latest results were published in October 2016 and relate to the 2015-16 academic year.
During 2015-16 we supported the reading development of 6,805 children and young people whose reading age improved by an average of 13 months in just 10 hours (based on 2 x 30 minute sessions each week for a 10 week period).
98% of all children and young people who were supported showed an improvement in reading performance and 90% demonstrated an improvement in confidence and self-esteem.
